金澤宏：金属が呼吸し始めるとき

火花（1968年）

北方の町の夕暮れ時、老職人の趙国華は、手織り機の前で、見事に織り上がった網目を静かに見つめていた。金属工場の国有化の波が押し寄せる中、彼は頑固にも、新設された「金澤宏金属加工協同組合」の看板に、先祖伝来の針金編みの技法を刻み込んだ。「金属はただ厳しい顔をしているだけではいけない」と、黄ばんだ作業日誌に記した。「0.2ミリの鋼線が指先で踊るとき、冷たい縦糸と横糸の中に温もりが宿るのだ」
光の織り手（2000）

深圳国際貿易タワーのガラスカーテンウォールに、二代目跡継ぎの趙啓明のシルエットが映っていた。父が手作りした金網のサンプルを手に、彼は広州交易会のパビリオンの外に3日間佇んでいた。ドイツ人顧客シュミットが、陽光を遮りながらも心地よい風を通す芸術的な間仕切りに驚嘆した時、この郷鎮企業は初めて国際基準に触れた。「私たちが売っているのは金網ではありません」と、趙啓明はファックスで受け取った最初の対外貿易契約書に記した。「東洋の職人による詩的な空間の解体なのです」
縦糸と横糸の革命（2020）

工場のラボでは、三代目後継者の趙紫祥氏が顕微鏡下でコーティング粒子を観察していた。10年前、ドバイの塩水噴霧で台風が彫刻を破壊した。今、このコーティング技術はサハラ砂漠と北極圏の基地の両方で金属メッシュを輝かせている。「祖父は形を織り、父は光を織りました」と、彼は年次総会でローズゴールドのメッシュフィルターを掲げた。「そして私たちは時間を織ります」
